BMW X1 Tire Pressure
What is the recommended tire pressure for your BMW X1? The most recent BMW X1 models should have their tires inflated to 32 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch), but the pressure may vary depending on the trim level of your vehicle and whether you procured it from the new or pre-owned vehicle inventory at BMW of Florence. We’re your experts for everything related to BMW X1 tires and tire care. Our service center team is here to make sure your BMW X1 receives the care it needs to drive efficiently on the roads of Marion.
What Is Tire Pressure?
If you saw “32 PSI” above and didn’t know what it meant, don’t worry. Your tires have air inside them, keeping them full enough to drive smoothly around Sumter. The amount of air inside your tires needs to be at a certain level to remain sufficiently complete for driving. If the air pressure gets too low or too high, the tire will go flat, and it’ll negatively affect the way you drive.
For this reason, it is essential to ensure that your tire pressure measurements are at the recommended levels.
How To Check Your BMW X1 Tire Pressure Levels
Your tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) should show a “Low Tire Pressure” warning light on your dashboard if your tire pressure levels are too low or high. If you’re not sure which tires need more air, here’s how to check:
1. Pull over on a level area, preferably a parking lot, where there’s an air hose. You can find these places at a gas station in Darlington or the surrounding areas.
2. Turn the car off.
3. Go to the driver’s side tire, remove the cap covering the air valve.
4. Place your tire pressure gauge on top of the air valve until the white stem of the indicator extends. If you don’t have a tire pressure gauge, you can usually find one at a gas station or purchase one from our parts store.
5. If the white stem on your tire pressure gauge reads a lower number than your recommended tire pressure amount, use an air hose to fill up the tire levels to the appropriate amount.
6. Repeat this process for every other tire on your BMW X1.
What Kind Of Tires Does Your BMW X1 Need?
Most BMW X1 models use all-season tires, but it all depends on what year and trim of BMW X1 you drive. Check the sidewall of your tires for the correct tire size. If you can’t see the size on the tire sidewall, check your owner’s manual.
